WIWW: Girls Night Out Edition

I loved this outfit. It was super comfy but still sporty and cute. I love the pockets in the dress and I have loved these boots. You can tell by how worn they are :)

Dress: Gap, Mesh leggings: Nordstrom, Boots: Ross, Earrings: Cavalcade (painted by me), Bracelets: Forever 21 & Target, Watch: Michael Kors

It was my good friend Dari's Birthday so a few of us girls got together to celebrate. Delicious food. Yummy treats. And girl chat and gossiping. And celebrating Dari! It was a splendid night. Happy Birthday again Dari!

When I first bought these boots I thought they might be too masculine. But I have fallen in love. Especially when paired with a dress. What do you think?

Today's list...

Are you a list maker? I totally am. I have numerous lists floating around in my head, but once I wrote them down it's amazing how much more productive I am. And not just me. I am a maker of the 'honey-do' lists as well. And let me tell you, my husband is awesome at finishing and crossing off his tasks. I have learned that if I want him to do something, instead of just mentioning it for a couple weeks over and over I just make him a list and everything is taken care of in a matter of hours. Score. Anyways... I have a butt load of things on my list lately. And because I can't seem to track down a single notepad (thank you move) I am putting it up here. (And for some extra motivation and push to get these things done)

Things to do TODAY:
-Work on organizing the kids toys & books in their room
-Work on hanging up more photo's and art in the house
-Take yet ANOTHER load to Savers
-Go to the gym
-Go to Zumba
-Fold the laundry
-Watch the latest episode of Pretty Little Liars before it expires today!
-Buy cheese. (Making homemade Cafe Rio Pork right now, so we need to have cheese for the tacos.)
-Start listing items on Etsy
-Work on vacation blog posts. I am about 5 behind.
-Pack for Park City
-Do 3 more loads of laundry.
-Hang up the rest of my jewelry.
-Make hubby a card
-Vacuum (again)
-Polish the floors
-Write WIWW post so I don't have to worry about it tomorrow before we leave.

*So my internet went down a couple hours ago before I could post this. So in the mean time I worked on some of these. The kids room is looking much better and the walls aren't so bare around here anymore. One day the unpacking will be over....right!?!?

So who wants to come watch my kids so I can knock some more of these off? And who wants to join me for Zumba and the gym? Trying to hit up both today because we are going out of town for our anniversary tomorrow and I know I am going to splurge... (and like stated previous I am make Cafe Rio Pork for dinner....)

Recap: Craft Lake City

Where do I even start? CLC was amazing. It was my first BIG show all by myself. I was nervous. It takes alot to 'put yourself out there'. But the response I received was overwhelming. I did better that I was even dreaming and I met some amazing artists and had an absolute blast. Randomly/awesomely I got the booth right next to my friend Jenn. Which worked out perfectly for manning each others booths for the occasional bathroom break. It also worked out for our friends who came to visit as alot of them are mutual friends of both Jenn and I.

Here are some snapshots of the day:

The finished set up.

Hadley, Jaxon, Chloe and I having fun with the props.

Some of the shades.

Owl Clock, Mirror and Hair Clips

The comic shades were a big hit. I sold out of all but 1. And now I am busy working on some custom orders.

Owl Clocks & Banners.

Owl Clocks, banners & hair clips...

The kids had a blast. Scott brought them up later in the day and they loved the kids crafts, playing with their friends, the bounce house, running in the water and flirting with all the customers and artists.

Some of my awesome friends who came to help and to visit.

Friends. Family. And Jenn and I in front of our booths at the closing of the show.
What we ate: Delicious Pizza from Pogi's and yummy GeekyCookies.

Some amazing and talented ladies. Thank for making my day awesome.

The day was hot! We started out in the sun but were in total shade for 80% of the day. It was great. I met some amazing people and got some rad stuff. I really do have some amazing people in my life. Thank you to everyone who helped me, manned the booth with me, help me set up, watched my kids, and just came out to support me. And yes I'm talking to YOU: Scotty, Nichole, Justin, Zuileka, Hadley, Cammy, Kenzie, Whitney, Jeanette, Dari, Allison, Chanda, Jenn, Nicole, Sara, Caz, Josh, Bryan, Mike, Karli & Austin. You guys made my day. And a BIG thank you to all the volunteers, everyone at Craft Lake City and to Slug Magazine. Thanks for once again putting on an amazing event and for letting me be a part of this years festival.

WIWW: Church Edition

I know I know. It's technically Thursday, but I only missed the cut off by an hour, and only because I stayed at the gym longer than I was planning tonight. But I really don't have to explain myself to you. After all this is MY blog and I'll do what I want.

Anyways...This is what I wore to church on Sunday. I'm not sure about the higher waisted skirt and the tucking in of my shirts. But I'm trying to be more ambitious.

Skirt: Old Navy, Shirt: H&M, Shoes: Target, Earrings: Gifted, Bracelets: Target & Darling Ephemera, Toe Ring: Forever 21

My cute kids like to interrupt my WIWW photo sessions.

This skirt is super comfy but in my opinion its not very flattering. And I don't think the horizontal stripes helped. Oh and there was another lady at church in the exact same skirt. Twinners. Ugh. I hate when that happens.

What do you think? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

Ramblings....

I have so many pictures I want to post and stories I want to tell. But with an unexpected trip to California last week and a unexpected move this week I am a little overwhelmed. This is the first time I have opened up my laptop in over a week. And even then it was just to download a book for my drive to California.

I still have posts about Florida to post. And Escalante. And California. And DIY projects. And recipes. And  Stop Being Fat Posts. But for now here's whats on my mind:

-My husband is awesome. He knew I needed to get away and see my family. So he basically kicked me out of the house and I took the kids to California. (I promise we weren't fighting.) He just knows what I need and although he had to work he demanded I head to the coast and refuel. I loved seeing my family. And I miss them already. My friends are awesome too and I loved seeing those that I got a chance to see.
Both kids actually did amazing on the drive. We drove the whole way through and they were happy kiddos 99% of the way. This picture is right after we stopped for lunch. We had a picnic in the park and then played on the playground for an hour. I wanted to wear them out so they would sleep and my plan worked.
-I came home a week earlier than originally expected. (Which is why I didn't get a chance to see all my friends as planned. Sorry guys! xoxo) We've been looking for a place to move for a while and while I was gone a house just 2 blocks from where we were opened up. We wanted to stay in the area and so we were super stoked to find out we could get in so fast.

-So I drove home that night, cause he had the next 2 days off. We got a ton moved, thanks to some amazing people. We seriously are surrounded by wonderful friends and family. I can't tell you how blessed I have felt this past week. It is kind ridiculous. I still can't wrap my head around all of the help and love we have received.
I texted 3 friends to see if their hubby's would come help Scott move a couple pieces of furniture so we could at least have beds in before Scott went back to work. And we seriously had over a dozen people show up to help. We were able to move so much more than I had planned on and it was so fast. Thank you everyone!

What our new living room looked like that night. It's still a work in progress, but it's much better!

First breakfast in the new place. I LOVE Kneaders and I LOVE Justin and Nichole for bringing up this deliciousness.

First dinner in our new place. At the coffee table because the kitchen was still covered in boxes. Frozen food and on paper plates because everything was still packed. But, I was happy it wasn't Pizza and that we actually had not just one but 2 vegetables.
-Craft Lake City is 6 days away. With all my trips and now this move, I am a little behind on my preparations. (Total lie! I am WAY behind.) But on a good note I finally have a room for my crafting. Now I just need to get it situated and then copious amounts of crafting will be done.
I am really excited for CLC. If you are in the area next Saturday please come stop by. Every year there are amazing vendors, delicious food and awesome Live music. I'm sure this year will not disappoint. (duh, how could it if I am going to be there?!?) Come say hi!

P.S. my logo got finished while I was in California. Thanks to my cousin-in-law Greg :) What do you guys think? (check out the new banner!) I am kinda in love with it. I love the balloons (for the birthdays!) and the colors. Thanks for being patient with my Greg!

Now back to the unpacking...

What I Wore Wednesday

Here in Utah we celebrate the 24th of July, otherwise known as Pioneer Day. It's kind of a big deal. We all went to Escalante this year, down in southern Utah. I'm from Escalante but we moved when I was only 3. But we always went back for the 24th. This little town does it BIG! I still have family there and my Grandparents have a gorgeous house and a beautiful (huge!) piece of property. I have taken my husband there many times, but he's never experienced the 24th there. Until this past weekend. And let me tell you it was a BLAST! On Saturday we went to the parade, then to the scout lunch, over to the carnival (of which we had a craft booth) then on to the rodeo that night followed by a massive firework show. So I knew I needed a comfy outfit for the day. We were camping, but I still wanted to look cute since I was going to be seeing tons of family and friends. Here's what I came up with:

Shirt & glasses: H&M, Skirt: Luxe Couture, Shoes: Torrid (old) Necklace: Macy's, Watch: Fossil, Bracelets: Target, Hair: Dirty c/o camping.

The four of us waiting for the parade to start.

Nichole and I behind out craft booth. Right before a massive downpour.

Had so much fun with Nichole and Zuileka on this trip! Thanks girls!

*Our camera got a scratch on the lens during the trip, so please excuse the 'ghosts' you may see in the photos.

I can't wait to post the rest of the pictures from our trip. It was such a great time and I can't wait till next year. I'm pretty sure all three families have agreed to make this trip a new tradition.

What do you think of my outfit? I personally am obsessed with my new red & white striped skirt. It is super comfy and cute too!

Hello Monday!

Hello home! We got home about 3 hours ago from a 4 day camping trip in Escalante. Hello tents, hiking, dirt, bugs, no showers, no bathrooms, HOT weather, thunder storms, rain downpours and ornery kids. And hello to great friends, amazing family, beautiful scenery, numerous laughs, good food, small town parades and dances, a carnival and making some money at our booth there. Hello to my husbands first Rodeo and seriously the BEST TRIP! I wish I had all my pictures ready to give you a glimpse into our weekend, but I still need to go through them along with get some from the rest of our friends that went with us.

Instead of camping pictures, here's a look at what's been going around these parts up until we left for our trip...

Hello Juice Cleanse! So I didn't last the full 6 days. I lasted 4 full days and then on days 5 & 6 I juiced for every meal and snack except dinner. Still loving the juicer though! Fresh apple juice is my favorite!!!

Hello baking. I made some goodies for a neighbor. I was still doing the juice cleanse and did NOT even have a bite. Go me!

Hello Bee Sting. Poor little Chloe. She was NOT a fan and would start to cry all over again when ever we brought it up for the next 4-5 days.

Hello Bookclub. Hello: Blue Lemon. Delicious food. Great friends. City Creek. Shopping. And Dessert at Gourmandies.
Hello painting with the kiddos. They love painting!

Hello crafting.

Hello outdoor band competition. We went to see Justin's band and they ended up winning and making it into the finals! Jaxon thought the crowd was for him.

Hello to the cutest siblings. They sure love each other. Their new love is singing and dancing to 'Ring-Around-The-Rosey' then falling down and proceeding to roll all over each other.

Hello to the Lindon pool, snow cones, cotton candy and friends.

I am one pooped Momma. Hello shower! FINALLY! Hello PJ's and my DVR. Hello tired kiddos that have already been asleep for 2 hours. I plan on sitting in my recliner and catching up on the Bachelorette, RHONJ, Breaking Bad & The Next Food Network Star.

Here's a sneak peak at our weekend. Many more to come. How was your weekend? Are you a fan of camping? With kids?
